Virtual Training DVD Series
BUY NOW: Vol. 1&2 (6 DVD Set) BUY NOW: Vol. 3 (6 DVD Set)
These two compilations contain a series of DVDs produced between 2003-2006. The videos were originally released on an individual basis and have now been compiled into two 6 DVD sets. Each DVD set contains over 9 hours of material, including:
- Complete classes: Led by Matsuoka Sensei at Ikazuchi Dojo. The series includes a number of beginning, intermediate, and advanced level classes. Each class is fully indexed by technique so you can watch the entire class, or just skip to the points where Sensei is demonstrating techniques. The chapter index includes the name of each technique so you can use the DVDs as a tool for learning technique names. Unlike most martial arts instructional videos, these contain a record of full classes, showing students training at a variety of levels. If you’d prefer to just watch Matsuoka Sensei’s instruction, you can use the DVD remote to skip to each new technique demonstration. However, if you’d like to see how students perform in the classes, you are free to watch the entire class with continuity.
- Special Features: Includes historical videos, photo slide shows, short video interviews with Matsuoka Sensei and dojo students, footage from special dojo events, and other interesting material.
These DVDs serve to archive a portion of our history and training, to provide instructional benefit to those that study Aikido, or as entertainment for general matrial arts enthusiasts. Please note that these DVDs are NOT designed to teach Aikido to those that do not already practice the art. Aikido is a complex art and can only be learned through personal instruction.
A complete index of the DVD content for the entire series can be found in this PDF document, compiled courtesy of Jeremy Ahouse.
DVDs in this compilation can be purchased online individually at BudoVideos.com.
